Mars vs Venus

Some notable differences between Zesty and Pinky ...

Zesty was a relatively clean eater.  He would sit there like a baby bird, mouth open, expectantly waiting for the spoon.  He'd eat anything except he didn't really like the turkey baby foods.

Pinky? is SO.MESSY.  and does not like peaches.  Not even a little bit.

Zesty weighed 19 lbs at one year.

Pinky weighs 19 lbs at 7 months.

I thought Zesty was advanced by pulling himself up right at eight months.

Pinky has been doing it for a week now.

Zesty was going up stairs at close to 9 months.

Pinky did it Sunday at not quite 7 1/2 months.

Yes, I'm a little frightened.  I'm not sure I'm ready to be chasing two around.

.................................................................

In other news, we found a new babysitter.  We've been at the church so much lately with the remodeling, and the organizing, and the trips to Home Depot, and the trips to WalMart ...

I tried to do it with the babies in tow the first week, and I wore them out.  The next week, I realized taking them everywhere is not such a hot idea.  The babies were miserable, I was aggravated, and therefore I enlisted the help of one of the church ladies who is unable to help with the remodeling at church.

Isn't it funny, how the most unlikely person could be the best for your children?  Missy is incredibly laid back ... never in a hurry, quiet-spirited, very gentle.  Not at all like me.

Zesty L.O.V.E.S. her.  She really cared for them, not just sat around and eventually put them to bed.  She fed them, played with them, took them for a walk, bathed them, put them to bed without any fuss.

When we came home at some crazy hour of the night after painting, she said "What time do you want me here tomorrow?"

!!!

So now we have an understanding.  If she has some spare time, she will call or text me and ask if I need to go do stuff, and she will come over.  Easy.  She shows up, and Zesty looks at me and says "Bye bye! Sis Fissy!  Bye bye!"

Thank you Lord for miracles like good babysitters!

Do they make gerbil balls large enough for toddlers? (just wondering)

Just be glad you don't have to call everyone you know to find someone to watch your kids. (not that we ever had to do that.)

I'm very happy for the Sis. Missys of this world. They make a busy mom's life so much nicer!

On the mobility--I think you're going to need to step up your speed training. Otherwise, Pinky's going to leave you in the dust. **smile**
