Except the people who delivered my new washer were not only 4 hours late, thus delivering it at 9pm instead of 5pm, also did not know what they were doing. They didn't level it, so when my first load was in spin cycle, it walked all over the laundry room floor. AND it made a horrible knocking sound when it would start the spin cycle. Mr Lemon leveled it, but we called for a service appointment for the horrible knocking sound. That can't be good.
So, the night before they came for the appointment, someone from GE called to see if it might be able to be solved over the phone. Turns out the delivery people REALLY didn't have their act together. There's a shipping rod that went through the bottom of the tub to keep it in place during ... you guessed it ... shipping. They didn't remove it, and I just thought it was a cute yellow sticker on the side.
It works like a charm now! May I introduce you?
It even came with a free Tide sample, and a $.50 off Downy coupon.
I'm still keeping my free used dryer though. It still works, and no one sees it but me, so it doesn't have to match my new washer.
