We're on the T-hopefully-ten-days countdown to closing on the house. The appraisal is tomorrow morning. Thankfully Mr Lemon was able to mow Tuesday, because it's been pouring ever since. Our backyard thinks its a lake and COLLECTS ALL OF THE WATER.
Seriously. Any tips on that? It's like Lake Lemon out there.
Especially where I laid out some of the leftover landscaping stones to create a bed near the fence earlier this spring. We're going to put in a weeping cherry tree, and some other stuff there. When I positioned them the first time, all the edges were touching and aligned. However, when the floods of April came (and May ... and June ...) a little pond would form because the rain could no longer drain to the neighbor's yard.
So Tuesday night I sloshed outside, put on my Momma gardening gloves, and moved all those stones again, this time leaving a 2-3" gap between them.
(Good job, Liz)
(Zesty is all about the words of affirmation. If he's busy doing something, I'll hear him say "Tell me 'good job' Mommy!")
(He's also currently obsessed with my drying rack and clothespins. Why did I never think of this before? It is keeping him very busy.)
(Good job, Zesty.)
