I think I can safely say that we're in the thick of potty training.
Knock on wood. Or porcelain, as the case may be.
With this marketing test we're contributing to, I was getting very frustrated with how slowly Zesty seemed to be progressing. Every two weeks a group of us meet to have a moderated panel discussion. Children much younger than my pride and joy were already in underwear full time by the time the test started, and we've been testing for six weeks now.
After Z's impromptu stay in the hospital I decided it was now or never. If I waited for him to get back into his normal routine of being healthy before I put him in undies, I felt like he would get settled back into the routine of NOT pottying in the potty.
So he went to undies for the daytime, and he made great progress! I even got brave enough to send him to church in undies on his second day. He's initiating his potty breaks, even getting up out of bed at night to tell me he needs to potty.
Sunday night I put him in undies for the night time too. He had 4 accidents yesterday throughout the day, but only 2 so far today. Hopefully we'll continue that trend to no accidents here pretty soon :)
It is so nice to only have to buy diapers for one child again. Pinky is pretty intrigued too, and pottied twice last week for my sister while she was babysitting. Eva and Zesty held potty competitions. Jessica probably spent more time in the bathroom than out of it.
Pinky is growing faster every minute. Eva passed down a lovely batch of Carter summer playdresses, 24 month size. They barely cover Pinky's bottom. While I love nothing more than to see her plump little legs toddling around, it kinda looks like I don't know what size she is.
