Shameless bragging

Pinky is actually trying to say real words!  She's always been a bit of a jabber-jaw.  I wonder where she gets that from, her father and I are so quiet and laid back.

She says Daddy, La-La (for Splenda's real name), Yak (for Zesty's real name).  Momma is reserved for those times of extreme despair like it's been five minutes since I held her, or she wants to get up on the couch.  She calls her bottle nite-nite when she's reaching for it.  The other day her bottle was just out of my reach, and I asked Zesty to hand it to me, and she mimicked me, "Yak! Nite-nite!"

She's currently in the throwing food and cups phase. And because I'm (futilely) trying to get her to stop, we say "Don't throw your cup, Pinky."  Yesterday she started saying tho for "throw."  She would hold her ball and tho it to Daddy on command.

My favorite though is thak yu.  My girl says thank you!  That makes me so happy, because Zesty is very good with his manners, and she's picking that up early.  She's starting to reach for something and say thak yu  to indicate she wants it, which is a good start towards "please."

She calls all Christmas decorations doll, because we have our stockings hung on the wall on a curtain rod and they have gingerbread people and a snowman on them.  We walked through the mall last week birthday shopping for our niece Alyssa, and she pointed to the garland and lights on the ceiling, "Doll!"

She loves to sing, and gives a good attempt at hallelujah when Zesty and I sing along to the music in the car.

Sweet times.
