We've gone close to 17 months now without losing any bottles or sippy cups. I limited myself to only having 6 full size bottles so that I'd know right away if I was missing a bottle or a cap.
But within the last week I've managed to lose two sippy cups. One I'm pretty sure I left at church, and that would be understandable if someone just tossed it.
This last one was at home though. The last time I saw it was Saturday morning, in my room. It had milk in it.
I'm really hoping Zesty threw it away, because I have looked everywhere and cannot find this cup. I'd hate for him to find it again and take a swig.
I felt like a "real mom" today. Whatever we're feeding him must be working, because he's gone straight from 12 months clothes to 2T without passing go or collecting $200. Shirts too short, high-water pants, and let's not even talk about pajamas or church clothes. I pulled out last year's coat to see if it still fit him, and there is still plenty of room. That little action brought back many memories of the twice a year closet fitting for Sica and I. We'd parade ourselves in and out of Mom's room for her approval of each outfit, or for it to go into the discard pile.
We girded up our loins and braved the battlefield that is Once Upon A Child to replenish his pajama stash. I was examining a rack of sleepers next to the toys. Much too late, I discovered they were 6 month size. I say much too late because the little girl playing in the toys next to me had THE RANKEST diaper I've ever smelled. I almost threw up.
Hey! We are planning a trip to Orlando next summer. ::squee!:: Obsessively planning for an unknown territory is my SPECIALTY!

Finding a milk filled sippy cup days later is the pits. We found a carton of milk that your Granny set down and forgot about. Ewww!
I remember well the crying and gnashing of teeth when a favorite outfit no longer fit. You and your sister were such drama queens.
I've often wished for a system of destruction for toxic lost-then-found sippy cups. Ours are invariably under the very back seat of the car, where few people ever go, but sippy cups roll. Milk is gross, chocolate milk is worse, apple juice is horrid. Not recommended for pregnant mommies to clean - they're even worse than stinky little girls in the clothing shop. :)
I am cringing about that sippy cup. Yeah, we have had a few of those. YUCK!!
