It's amazing what a couple of days of rest, decongestants, antibiotics, and a good nose blow will do for your health.
I won't describe to you the contents of that nose blow, because that just ain't couth.
Also, the babyproofing? It'll happen tomorrow. For now, I taped the kitchen cabinets shut with my handy dandy mailing tape. Mr Lemon says it makes getting into the cabinets difficult.
I, however, have decided I don't need to use my cleaning supplies until he installs the thingies that keep Zesty out of the cabinets. The tape remains in place.
I perked right up out of my resting when we found that our tax refund was available, and we did some shopping. For Momma. Now that I've weaned Zesty, my size has settled into a predictable pattern.
Before we went shopping I took a hard look at my closet to determine if I was missing any key pieces to round out some outfits I already had. I'm delighted to report that was a great idea. I was able to score some clearanced tops, a few skirts, and other various garments that the men reading this blog don't really care to hear about.
I also got this - but it doesn't look exactly like the picture. It has 3/4 sleeves, and a tie belt, and it's a deeper red. And a few tads longer. Oh, and I don't look like the starved waif they have modeling the dress there.
Other than that, it's about the same.
I googled "red cowl neck dress" to try and find a picture since Lane Bryant didn't put one on their site. Can you believe they consider this a "dress?" I hope it's half-price, because they are RIPPING SOMEONE OFF for not sewing the bottom half of the "dress."
Anyways - back to MY dress. I was so tickled that it fit, because the last time a dress fit me top and bottom I was oh, maybe, 6. Plus, it matches these shoes I bought for $5 eons ago.
As a side note, Mr Lemon asked me if I liked to watch Nascar. I replied that I like to watch basketball more than Nascar, but baseball less. He correctly interpreted that to mean I'd rather have my toenails yanked out, soaked in Tabasco, and plugged back in backwards.
AND - I've been waiting for months now for my new phone. Mainly, I've been waiting for Mr Lemon's upgrade turn because he gets a free phone when he upgrades. So, he's giving me his turn and I get a new phone.
It's just wonderful when marriage works out like that.
I think I'm gonna copycat my sister and get the Voyager. It's so FANCY. Not as fancy as the iPhone, I'll give you that, but it's FANCY.
