The puking was apparently a one time thing, but the diarrhea? We have a plentiful supply of that, let me tell you.
I heard my mother's voice in the back of my head "BRAT diet - BRAT diet!" So we've been doing that, and yogurt. Zesty will drink Gatorade and tea, but not water. I figure those are better than nothing.
He had a fever last night, but it's been normal today. Poor wittle fella, he's so lethargic. He just lays on me and right as he's about to fill his diaper he looks up at me like, "NOOOOO, not again!"
Blessedly, he napped today too. 'Specially since he had me up at 3am with the gratuitous diaper change, and I gave him a bottle then too for good measure. And then he wouldn't stop crying. I finally left him in his crib to go back to my own crib to cry.
This is where it gets funny. I finally got back to sleep, only to have a dream that I couldn't get back to sleep. So in my dream, me and Mr Lemon are drowsily talking the rest of the night, then he got up for work and checked Zesty's diaper. In my dream, it was clean.
Then Mr Lemon woke me up before he actually went to work, and the diaper was actually very bad. Very. Bad.
About 10ish he fell asleep again in my arms, but wouldn't sleep in his crib. I just laid him in my bed next to me and we took a sound nap. He woke up ready to play, so I set him up with some toys in his crib to play, and I finished taking a second sound nap.
Because I am That Mom who thinks her kid can entertain himself. He's 9 months old, forcryin'outloud. Why isn't he outside playing in the snow with the neighbors?
::sigh::
It was a great nap.

Oh girlfriend...you surely deserved that second round of napping! I have no problem with setting a kid up to play with stuff in a safe place. Hope he is feeling better!
I agree that the kids should be out playing. Scratch that--they should have jobs and be contributing to the cause.

Sounds like any good mom I know! I'm glad you got the extra rest. I surely know you needed it. Hopefully this will be done soon. Very soon.
oh dear! keep him hydrated!!! I don't want you to have to do the ER thing like we did!
Glad you got a nap. Isn't crib playing what parents do who need a nap?? I have always thought that was the case. Sorry the virus is sticking around. I do hope he is better soon!!
wow! how did we catch this from you seven states away?!?
Glad you're done.
