"Questions, comments, and cantankerous quibbles"

That's kinda the way I feel about comments on my blog. It's what my former choir director used to say at the end of every choir practice. That does not mean that she actually wanted cantankerous quibbles, but it was a way to keep the door open for interaction. Jeana is asking around for our opinions about comments on blogs, and as everyone has a nose and an opinion that you can pick from freely, or pick your own, I thought I'd throw mine out there.

I feel like I have the most fun with the comments on my blog. Many of your comments inspire memories that I can post about. I have received private emails instead of a comment on some personal matters, and I do not take that lightly.

I don't think there's ever been a flame war in my comment section. If so, then I'm too dumb to realize it, but I would rather attribute it to the fine quality of people who read my blog. Or maybe I just don't make you think as much as some other bloggers, but that's fine with me. I talked about this with Mr Lemon the other day, and the gist of our conversation is that I do not view my blog as a ministry. I'm not really interested in expounding scripture and pounding the information superhighway with doctrine. I view blogging, for me, as entertainment. A blogger I used to read emailed to me once that she uses blogrolls because of her agenda online. I don't have an agenda. I don't have a vendetta. I have recipes that work for me, and a great family, and a fabulous nose for shoe bargains.

Maybe I'm just a soda-pop blogger with a lot of fizz, not a meat and potatoes blogger. Good for those of you who are. I think that makes this blog a fun place to be, and that is all I am striving for. Just dessert.

Thanks for all your comments throughout the 2 years I've been blogging. You are the hot fudge sauce and whipped cream on top of my blogging sundae.
