I cannot do it all. I cannot do it all. I cannot do it all.

I asked my husband last night, "What prize do I think I'm going to get for making homemade tomato sauce - which didn't turn out like Prego, rather more exactly like I didn't follow the recipe and put too much onion, green pepper, and orange pepper in it - wasting $30 on fabric and blanket binding to sew a blanket for a new mom who may or may not appreciate homemade which I will now have to have my Mom help me fix and keep for my new baby - and pottytraining a 21 month old?"

Really.  What blue ribbon am I trying to win? Is it possible for me to be a stay at home mom and not try to be so Stepford-perfect?

I have got to give myself permission to relax so I don't get so wound up about all the stuff I try to do ALL AT ONCE and fail.

There. Someone (ahem - ME) needs to print this post and hang it on the fridge.  And the bathroom mirror.

If you didnt throw out the sauce just add more tomato paste to it or buy just a few jars of your favorite sauce and add it to it.

You are doing what every concientious SAHM does at some point. Now, take a deep breath, and focus on the things that are most important like enjoying your children, potty training, and keeping yourself sane. Words from your MOM!!
