I don't know why I've never used a third party photo storage site before, but wowzers have I been out of touch! The Express Uploader was easy to install and use. I created a "Holding Tank" album to use as a first step to organizing the photos. I upload them to the "Holding Tank" first, and then select/move photos to the appropriate album.
I like!
- ability to pick up glossy prints at local stores like Target and WalGreen's
- variety of layouts for cards, calendars, etc
- Share sites! Here's our Share site - like I need one more thing to update about our family :)
- prices are comparable to other retail photo shops
My only beef ...
- no way to tag photos. In my Windows Picture Gallery (before I got waaaaay behind on organizing my photos) I have tags for each member of my extended family, like Facebook. I don't want to have a separate album though for each person, that seems like an excessive amount of duplicate photos. Maybe as I use the site more, I will find a solution for that.
I have a lovely framed collage as you enter the front door that doesn't have any more recent pictures than Zesty and Splenda in March 2009. Go ahead, say it with me: pathetic. Mr Lemon and I have not had a casual snapshot of just the two of us since July 2009. That photo over there on the right side, between our descriptions? I pieced it together, cropping our heads from our JC Penney family photos. I plan to correct that situation this weekend, which means I need to actually fix my hair. It's a step towards a good daily practice.
We've had too many computer crash scares in the last few years for me to take any further chances with our favorite photos. I'm relieved to know that they will be stored for years to come. It will come in handy when Zesty has a date that I am not crazy about, and I will need to scare her off with this prime shot:

I've never tried a third party site either. Perhaps I might try it.
Make sure you have plenty of "prime shots" saved. One may not do the trick. We still have the "ice cream in a box" shot of you. Your sister swiped many of the pics of her.
BTW, all of your pictures for your blog wallpaper have disappeared. I don't know if you were playing with something or what, but they're gone.
they are back now ... we were out tonight ... maybe the interweb was playing tricks on you ;)
Of course I swiped the pics of ME!!!! And they're locked in a lockbox hidden in the floor to which only I have the code and the key!!
