Once in a lifetime experience ... be bored here

Getting down to the last few weeks, and I've never been so all over the place with my moods in my life. My poor husband. Really. He should be sainted. SAINTED.

We're getting ready to move to a bigger apartment, so my nesting/obsessing is going to whole new levels of where are all of our clothes going to fit? We gain a bedroom, which naturally has a closet inside that bedroom, as bedrooms are wont to have. However, we lose the hall closet where Mr Lemon keeps his work clothes so he doesn't have to turn on a light and disturb my sleep.

I must find a solution to that closet problem. Can't be having my sleep disturbed.

And those of you who have been privileged and/or suckered into listening to me say that the babies will share the biggest room, let me say that I was wrong, that The Plans have changed. Mom and Dad will share the biggest room, as is customary for The Parents to have the most space. Because we are Bigger People. And we do the laundry folding occasionally, so we need More Space.

So now I get to obsess over how to optimize the space in a 9' x 11' room for 2 baby beds, a changing table, a rocking chair, toys, etc, etc, etc. AND - buy new curtains for my bedroom! grown up curtains!

And I have no funny or clever lines to close this post, so I'm just gonna ...

It's going to feel great to get all moved, sorted and settled before Baby Girl gets here. Hang on! One thing at a time.

Let's just make sure that Momma doesn't overdo it and put herself into premature labor, 'k??

Oh Liz...we moved into our new home the first of December and Daniel was due Jan. 3. My stepdaughter decided to get married on Dec. 17 and asked me to organize the wedding. I thought I would go crazy but somehow managed to get through it all but I was soooooo happy when December was over and ALL I had to do was have a baby! :-)

How's this for a solution to the closet problem: Have Mr. Lemon put his work clothes in the bathroom before he goes to bed. He can then get dressed without disturbing you. It will be a new routine to learn, but it can be done.

How bout have your baby bed in your big bedroom for the first several months? That has been the most conducive for sleep for all at our house...infants and two-year-old's sleep schedules don't mesh real well for a while and if the 2-year-old has disrupted sleep routines, the whole house is messed up. :) I'm just saying. From experience. Plus having the infant close makes the night feedings a lot more convenient.
