It is ..... my birthday!
I talked to my sister this morning, she was trying to figure out how old I was if I started counting backwards at 21. But I assured her I was quite happy being 29. And next year, I'll be quite happy to be 30. I'm in the best years of my life. I wouldn't be 16 or 17 again for a million dollars. And definitely not 19 through 26.
Now, 27? We were ~honeymooning~ so, you know, everything was hunky dory.
28? I barely remember my birthday because I was still in a sleep-deprived state.
So 29 - I'm gonna revel in it. No crying or whining about getting older.
It's my birthday!
Oh - ps - I forgot to mention the hilarious thing that happened the other day. Mr Lemon's mom made me a birthday cake. I got a small piece, then the next day Splenda came up after school was out.
She licked off about half of the icing.
It was not funny on Wednesday. It was not funny yesterday.
This morning I woke up snickering about it.
Okay, that is all.
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Splenda licked off the icing on your piece or off of the rest of the cake? I'm confused.

Happy, happy birthday! Hope it's wonderful!I agree with you, 29 is a lot better than 17!
Happy Happy Birthday to you, to you!!!
I hope it is fabulous!! I wouldn't go back to being 16 or 17 again either!
Feliz cumpleanos a ti! Feliz cumpleanos a ti! Feliz cumpleanos mi amiguita! Feliz cumpleanos a ti! I love you Lizzibef!
Do we all get to spank you? Remember as a child, you couldn't become another year older if you didn't get your birthday spankings. Mom wishes you happy birthday too.
Happy Birthday Liz!
Happy Birthday! I love your blogging style. :)
Happy Birthday!!! I am enjoying 29 as well. Hopefully 30 is just as good - I'll let you know in a few months:)
I really like that you spoke about being okay with getting (slightly) older. At 25 I think people think I'm odd since when all of my friends are freaking out about being a whole quarter of a century I was reveling in it! I think women really hit their stride as they get older, so I am welcoming it. Happy late Birthday!
