Yes indeedy, I could have just baked my own cake and eaten half of it. For the sake of the blog. But I didn't, I borrowed a photo from flickr. Thank you, Mr Flickr. I hope you enjoyed your half of the cake. And I like your plate.
Also, I have buckeyes and chocolate covered pretzel rods to make today. That will require some taste testing. And I still have to go to the store for the ingredients. After Zesty takes a nap.

Sis Pastor's Wife and I did a little annual Christmas shopping recently. It is so much more fun to shop for toys now that I have kids! The Worm and Miss A are covered now, and I picked up some stocking stuffers. I have a new little niecie due in January and a new little nevvy due in February, so I get to pick out little tiny newborn presents. Although these girls are practical misses, so I could probably wrap up a box of wipes for them and they'd be ecstatic.
(Shoot. I'd be ecstatic if Zesty got wipes for Christmas.)

(Speaking of ecstatic, I'd like to thank Mr Lemon for doing the laundry last night while he chased Zesty around and I gallivanted around town.)

Remember how I said that Zesty is growing up? I found him up 2 steps yesterday.
I did the responsible parenty thing. I grabbed my camera before he fell. Then I waited to see what he would do. He didn't cry or anything, just looked around, and started back up again. See?

Needless to say, I bought a baby gate. Posthaste.

I love that you celebrate your half birthday too! I just celebrated mine 2 days ago.
Happy Half Birthday to us!!! 29 here we come!
I like taste testing. Too bad them mean ole germs chased you "outta Dodge" before you could make buckeyes. I can't wait to see all of you again. You can also re-aquaint yourself with all you stuff you so hastily left behind. At least it wasn't your cell phone this time.
Our #7s' first word was 'again', no matter how often he fell he'd say,"Again," and off he'd go.
I think Zesty is the cutest nick-name I've blogged across.
Yum, Buckeyes, I lived in Ohio for awhile haven't had Buckeyes since. I'll have to Google the recipe.
So.. If it was your half birthday that means your half anniversary wasn't that long ago? May you and Mr Lemon have many more.. anniversarys half and whole year.
