10 days old today

Don't call the La Leche League on me, but I stopped nursing him and have been pumping since Friday. I enjoyed nursing him, but I am just too impatient. Not to mention I'm not so good with the concentrating in the middle of the night. Grandma made a wise investment in the pump she bought me, because a rested Momma and Daddy is a happy Zesty.

And I tried cloth diapering him, but he is just too little so far! This was funny - I put one on him, and he soaked right through it to the cover (but not outside the cover). I reapplied a fresh diaper and doubled over in front (because apparently that's where little boy pee comes out). Soaked that one. I then put TWO diapers on him.

I wish I had taken a picture. Poor little guy, he was all diaper. Good news is, the Snappi stretched and kept it all together and the cover fit him properly. Bad news is, he looked like he was doing the splits. He was diaper from waist to knees. WAIST TO KNEES.

As of Monday, he has gained back his birth weight plus 3 ounces. We're settling into some kind of routine, and Splenda has been with us since Friday on Spring Break. She is getting very comfortable holding him, singing to him, and he is going to miss his sissy when she goes back home tomorrow.

That's all I've got for now, I'm going back to bed. Mom has some pictures up from when they flew down yesterday. Sometime soon I will post new pictures of their room, she did a fabulous job on his bedding.
