Boring stuff like housecleaning still happens when you have joy in the morning like I do, but at least it's done while he's at work.
I found some beaters to a mixer I no longer have ... parts to my blender ... an electric knife I've never used ... the graveyard of the silverfish who apparently live in the cabinet over my stove *shudder*

Mr Lemon thinks I make the best meatloaf in the world, and thinks I'm spoiling him. And I haven't even made any brownies for him yet.
