the way he snuggles into me when he's really sleepy
how happy he is to see Momma and Daddy peeking into his crib
the way he stretches for about 10 minutes when he wakes up
how I find him amazed by his toys when no one is around
the way he smiles at the wall of missionaries my church supports - he is surely seeing angels there
his little turtle neck when he sits up
how does a 12 lb sack of powdered sugar manage to wiggle me to the edge of the bed? my OWN BED?

All the precious things about having a teeny tiny boy. Definitely shouldn't let them slip away...
The bed thing is a mystery. Except maybe that he KNOWS his power in the big bed - he can do anything he wants and Mommy will keep scooting to keep from mushing him. (And isn't it funny how even in your sleep you can stay aware of where he is and move away to give him more space? That is being a mom for sure!)
I think you're totally smitten, as we should be at our babies. They grow up fast, let me tell ya. . . . .you turn around and they are, let's say seven. It seems like yesterday. ~Sigh~
And yet they are still edging me out of my bed!!!
I love this! And keep in mind... every passing day will be filled with even more things to keep from slipping away...
Those are the days...just wait til he starts bruising you in his kicking for more space!!! And then when he starts talking and coming up with Zachary-isms!
Oh how I love those beautiful moments. Hold on to them! My girl is 4, and she still likes to snuggle, which is a miracle. But I miss some of those baby miracles, too. :) OH, and p.s. I'm glad to be blogging again, too.
:)
Oh Liz please don't take these moments for granted. Enjoy them doubly for those of us who would love to have our own little miracles but can't.. Love reading your Zachary and ~K~ stories.

These moments are precious and they (the kids) grow SO fast. Write down as many of them as you can to preserve the memories.
As for taking over the whole bed, it doesn't change even when they're going on three! lol It's also a mystery how a two year old can fall off a queen size bed after starting out in the middle! =o) Kids are awesome.
